Daniel Communities Press Release:
PRESS RELEASE
Jackson County recently approved a residential subdivision plan for the property located adjacent to Cashiers Lake. The approved plan allows for the reconfiguration of 19 existing single-family homesites together with 39 new single-family homesites and four lots which will be set aside for future growth.
“For more than a decade, we have explored various opportunities for the thoughtful and purposeful development of the neighborhood surrounding Cashiers Lake,” expressed Marvin and Helene Gralnick, who alongside their partner Turner Inscoe, have provided resolute stewardship of the property and worked to define its role in the future of Cashiers. Their company, Cashiers Lake Investments, LLC, is collaborating with Daniel Communities to manage the development process. Both organizations have deep roots in the community, including the Library Kitchen + Bar and High Hampton, and they share a vision for the long-term success and sustainability of this project and the Cashiers community.
The neighborhood will be named Cashiers Lake in deference to the body of water at the core of the community. Concurrent with the redevelopment of the neighborhood, lake restoration work will begin to address sedimentation from decades of direct discharge from the surrounding watershed. These efforts will restore and enhance the bio-retention qualities of Cashiers Lake.
“We have a strong sense of respect and responsibility to carefully weave the development of Cashiers Lake into the fabric of the village by prioritizing connectivity,” expressed Troy Lucas, SVP of Planning & Development for Daniel Communities. “The foundation of our plan is organized around paths, gardens and gathering places, while adhering to thoughtful architectural standards. As the community evolves, our goal is to create conveniences and amenities walkable to current offerings and civic destinations surrounding the Crossroads. The plan includes over one-half mile of greenway paths through the neighborhood that will connect to a larger network of trails and pathways being advanced by numerous community groups and owners within Cashiers,” Lucas continued.
This is the first of many steps towards realizing what has been a true passion project for many years and an opportunity to embrace and encourage a vibrant and active lifestyle at the center of Cashiers.
